The Mixing Suite (tm) is a modular, rack mountable, portable analog
workstation offering a variety of plug-in modules of uncompromised
sonic character, technical specification, and mechanical workmanship.
Five mixing-oriented modules are available.
Offering 100% compatibility with George Massenburg's (GML) HRT-9100
(tm) Mixing System, the Millennia Mixing Suite provides audio
excellence and modular flexibility. With a focused selection of input
and output options, the Mixing Suite is intended for critical location
recording, large MIDI-array mixing, general sub-mixing, film and stage
work, Surround stems, multi-source mastering, and more. Remote fader
packs are optionally available offering automated or non-automated
control. Multiple Mixing Suites can be combined for a total of up to 80
input channels.
Employing circuitry similar to that found in the acclaimed Millennia
HV-3 microphone preamplifier, the Mixing Suite is almost entirely DC
coupled without the addition of servo amplifiers. Each circuit element
has been carefully optimized in critical listening tests for musical
realism, spatial accuracy, and dynamic stability. No detail of circuit
design, electro-mechanical design, or component selection has been
neglected.
The Mixing Suite is a high speed, high headroom signal path design.
Utilizing the finest French Vishay conductive plastic potentiometers
and superior grade componentry throughout, the Mixing Suite is designed
for a lifetime of professional industrial applications.
A rugged, high-performance external power supply accompanies the
Mixing Suite. The power supply chassis employs a 40W engineer's
talkback amplifier with a feature we call True Mute(tm). In other
remote talkback systems, the amplifier remains on, with audible hum or
hiss. The True Mute system assures that all amplifier power is off when
talkback is not selected, yet returns quietly to full power in less
than 50 mS after talkback is selected.

We encourage comparison testing. Listen to the critical detail of
bell-tree, female voice, and complex percussion. Compare the timbre
realism and spatial accuracy of shared stereo miking on orchestra,
choir, and jazz combo. Specifications are a guide; and Millennia
products continue to set the industry pace in lab measurement
standards. But specs don't always tell the sonic story. Just Listen.
Over 20,000 Millennia mic preamp channels have been chosen by today's
leading artists, engineers, recording companies, and symphony
orchestras. We are confident that you will discover the difference
superior analog circuitry can really make.
